Oh Lawd, She's Thinkin'

Hello Beautiful Bitches and Wonderful Witches. I've been thinking - dangerous, I know. I don't think people need to be put in boxes. That's an old and out dated thought process.
From the ripe age of too young, adults ask "What you're going to do with your life?" and "Where are you going to college?"
And they say things like "You need to figure out what you're doing before you waste your whole life." or "You need to pick one thing and focus on that." Or drill into your head the illusion that if you go to college you'll definitely make money and if you don't go to college you won't get a job and end up homeless.
I AM NOT A FAN
It's too much pressure. It's unnecessary. And why? College costs SOOOO much and in today's age, rarely does the ROI make sense. I would not take that deal. 10+ years of debt for a job I picked because of a promise of high income and a daily quality of life of a feral squirrel.
Fuck it. Do what you want. Do everything you want. As long as no one gets hurt, let's not get crazy. But you don't need to pick one thing.
I have struggled for YEARS feeling confused and overwhelmed because I like so many things. I could create a career in music, crafting, fine art, digital design, fashion design, or business management.
Why not all of it? People say it's impossible and to follow the path- fuck the path. The path is a distraction from joy. It's up to us to build our own happy castle and mine doesn't include gen. ed. credits for a major I didn't want in the first place.
So- What am I going on about? I implore you to dig deep and figure out what makes you truly happy. If the answer needs formal education, go forth and conquer!!! But if you crave a creative career, don't think it's out of reach. It is possible! Give it a real shot!
TLDR - Do the thing. It's easy for social norms to get in your head and to get in you're own way. Fuck em. Do the thing that makes you happy and fills your soul.
